Richmond Hill Farmer’s Market

Let’s face it, we all run errands to the grocery store at least once a week. Maybe you have a large family, you may have forgotten something for a meal you were planning to prepare at some point during the week, or you are the creative type who likes to experiment in the kitchen. There are some of us who enjoy grocery shopping and some of us who do it because we have to.
Admit it; it can be kind of dull going to your average grocery store on a regular basis. It can also be frustrating searching through the store, trying to find what you are looking for and there is no help to be found from any of the employees. It’s also no fun when you want to buy fresh veggies and fruit from the produce section, but all you can find are the bagged fruits and veggies with the expiration dates on them.
Worry no more! The Richmond Hill Farmer’s Market will be in town on Tuesday, August 12th. They will be hanging out in J.F. Gregory Park, on Cedar Street, just for you! The farmer’s market will be selling fresh meat, fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread, herbs, pasta and barbecue! What’s not to love about this?! For those of you who just moved into the area, or feel like redecorating the house, the farmer’s market will also be selling furniture. It’s not just any old kind of furniture, it will all be handmade! They will also be selling much more than that in order to cater to all of Richmond Hill’s residential wants and needs.
The Richmond Hill Farmer’s Market will be selling its products and goods from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. So if you are off of work, take advantage! You won’t regret it. If you are unable to attend the farmer’s market on August 12, 2014, you will have plenty more opportunities to get out there and get your shopping on! They are in J.F. Gregory Park every Tuesday until October.

Vaccinate Your Pet…at Walgreen’s!

Having pets can be fun, but at times very stressful. They are so loveable, playful and friendly. The only hassle can be paying tons of money for their annual vaccinations at the vet. You also have to deal with calling in to make an appointment. And once you show up to the veterinary office, you have to fill out the necessary paperwork they give you, which seems like an endless amount of questions. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to get your dog and cat’s necessary vaccines for an affordable price and you’d only have to answer a maximum of four questions on their paperwork? Sounds like wishful thinking.
Well, you’re in luck fellow pet owners, prepare yourself for the greatest convenience since the creation of drive-thru coffee shops. You can get your dog and cat vaccinated for as little as $10 at your local Walgreen’s! So that means all of you in the Savannah, Pooler, and Richmond Hill areas are in for an affordable treat! The EZ Pet Clinic will be coming to multiple Walgreens in each area this weekend. They will begin their vaccinating journey in Savannah and Pooler on Saturday, August 16th. They will be at the Walgreen’s on Abercorn Street from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., then will work their way to the Walgreen’s closest to Pooler, Ogeechee Road, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The following day, Sunday, August 17th, the clinic will be in Richmond Hill from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. They will be at the Walgreen’s on US Highway 17.
It is not necessary to schedule an appointment, as this event it for the pet owner’s convenience. Only dogs and cats are able to be vaccinated, but they will be able to vaccinate all of them if you have multiple. Have a prepared knowledge of your dog and cat’s breed, weight, age and current vaccine. Also be aware that there will be cats and dogs around you while you are waiting in line so plan accordingly.
If you are unable to attend this weekend event, EZ Pets comes to your area monthly so you will have plenty of opportunities to vaccinate your dog or cat for cheap. To learn more information about this event and the EZ Pet Clinic, visit their website at ezpetga.com/event-sites/.

The Savannah Voice Festival is Here!

For many families in the area, the summer fun has ended. The kids have all gone back to school and the weekly routines are slowly starting to fall into effect. It seems as if there are nothing but school-related functions and errands taking place. You have to get everything on the school supply list, scan/thoroughly read through the classroom syllabi, attend open house and the list goes on. For those of you who do not have any children and are currently living the single or single couple life, you may just be stuck in a daily routine and are looking for something fun to do. Soon enough, every day will begin to feel like déjà vu.

Going to work, college and home is cool, but it’s necessary to switch things up every once and a while. Yeah, you may have gone on a few road trips to visit family members and even decided to go on vacation, but a fun, educational and artistically engaging event is occurring in Savannah right now! There’s no way Savannah would let its local and surrounding residents end their summers without a bang.

The Savannah Voice Festival is here ladies and gentlemen! Unfortunately, there are only a few days left, but the events are occurring daily. So luckily, you will have time to catch at least one day, if not all seven of them. You can take the opportunity to use this festival as a date night, a family outing, or just simply as a day to treat yourself. Here’s a little tip: you could also use this as a last minute birthday or anniversary gift if you’re still on the hunt for the perfect gift!

This festival is a non-profit organization that focuses on, celebrates, and appreciates classical vocal talents.
The festival is held during a two-week week period (August 1st through the 17th). The Savannah Voice Festival hosts a variety of different events for the audience to attend. There are concerts, movies, luncheons, and educational presentations. You may choose to attend only one event for the day or multiple. The ticket prices range from $18 to $110. Are your pockets feeling a little light? No worries, they didn’t forget that there are some of us out there who are on a budget. There are a few events being held that are free, so be sure to take full advantage of that!

You can buy your tickets online, browse through the different upcoming events and learn more information about the Savannah Voice Festival’s background at savannahvoicefestival.org.
